Disney on Ice to perform in Kemayoran
Disney On Ice, a US ice surfing acrobatic group, is to perform in hall A1 of the Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo) at the Kemayoran Jakarta Fair ground instead of in Jakarta`s Senayan Sports hall as initially planned.
The exhibition`s promotor, Tommy Pratama, said here on Friday the change in the show`s venue was made because Senayan Sports hall (Istora) would be used for a religious function.
The show dubbed "Mickey Minnie Amazing Journey" will run from April 26 through May 4, 2008.
"We decided to move from Istora as we respect the implementation of the religious function," he said, adding that the management of the Disney On Ice had agreed to the relocation.
Tomy said he preferred the Jakarta International Expo as the show`s venue because it can accommodate all the properties needed to support the performances.
Antin Oekon H, marketing director Original Production, said Jakarta Governor Fauzi Bowo had ordered 1,000 tickets to the show for the capital city`s orphans who would watch it on Saturday (May 5) at 03.30 p.m. local time.
Disney On Ice would arrive in Jakarta after performing in the Philippines, Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia.
