Thousands of people attend Java Jazz Festival
Over five thousands people attended the first day of International Java Jazz Festival at Jakarta Convention Center on Friday.
Since 3 pm, the concert goers from different age ranges were seen trickling into the venue, especially the entry site which was tighly guarded by security troops.
Up to 1500 artists would perform in the jazz festival from March 7 to 9, 2008.
The first day performers were Bobby Caldwell, Incognito and James Ingram as well as the local artists known as Glenn Fredly and Malik & D`Essential.
Their "special performance" grabbed the attention of the audiences who packed the Jakarta Convention Center.
In addition, this international event was also performing others artists at 18 stages, namely the legend guitar Lee Ritenour, Renee Olstead, Run King Big Band as well as Earth Wind & Fire featuring Al McKay.
The performance by a-25 year-old-new comer Sara Gazarek from US who was accompanied by Josh at the piano, Nelson, Kertes at the bass, as well as Matt Slocum at the drum was one of the stunning stage act.
Exploring the Convention Center, audiences would find merchandise as well as food and beverage booths.
The festival which was held for the fourth times was sponsored by Sam Soe Super Premium.
